miHoYo's Genshin Impact surpassed $1 Billion in player spending in less than six months, marking it fastest mobile game to hits that milestone (Pokemon GO took nine months), according to sensor tower.
Breath of the Wild themed-like action RPG, Genshin Impact released in September 28, 2020. It received "generally favorable reviews". The game saw 23 million downloads on mobile platforms and generates $60 mn revenue within a week after its launch.
Mobile version of Genshin Impact frequently generated revenue. It grossed $245 million in its first month and $393 million in the first two months. Its revenue hits $874 in just five months. While Pokemon GO grossed $207 million in its first month.
Free-to-play game, Genshin Impact revenue soared to $1 bn in less than six months. This does not even include PS4 revenue and PC revenue.
