Genshin Impact revenue hits $1 Billion in less than six months

 miHoYo's Genshin Impact surpassed $1 Billion in player spending in less than six months, marking it fastest mobile game to hits that milestone (Pokemon GO took nine months), according to sensor tower. Breath of the Wild themed-like action RPG, Genshin Impact released in September 28, 2020. It received "generally favorable reviews". The game saw 23 million downloads on mobile platforms and generates $60 mn revenue within a week after its launch. Mobile version of Genshin Impact frequently generated revenue. It grossed $245 million in its first month and $393 million in the first two months. Its revenue hits $874 in just five months. While Pokemon GO grossed $207 million in its first month. Free-to-play game, Genshin Impact revenue soared to $1 bn in less than six months. This does not even include PS4 revenue and PC revenue. Genshin Impact first released in September 2020 for Android, IOS, PS4 and Windows.

Ghost of Tsushima passes 6.5 million sales, movie in the works

Sucker Punch Productions action-adventure game Ghost of Tsushima has sold 6.5 million copies since its launch in July 2020. The Movie based on game is in the works! Recently revealed that the Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions are developing a movie based on Sucker Punch Productions game Ghost of Tsushima. Chad Stahelski, director of 'John Wick' series will direct. "We’re excited to be partnering with Chad and 87Eleven Entertainment, to bring their vision of Jin’s story to the big screen. We love working with creative partners like Chad, who have a passion for our games, ensuring we can create rich adaptation that will excite our fans and new audience.” Said by the head of PlayStation Productions. Ghost of Tsushima has sold 6.5 million copies that are up from 5 million in November 2020. Early reviews of It Takes Two have gone live ahead of games release

Hazelights Studios (studio behind A Way Out) upcoming action-adventure multiplayer game It Take Two is set to released this week. The early reviews of game are out ahead of its release this week. J osef Fares, the director of Hazelights previous game A Way Out, returned to his role as director. Electronics Arts will publish under the EA Originals label. At the time of publishing this article the game has a Metascore of 90 based on 24 reviews on PlayStation 5. Early reviews of Capcom's Monster Hunter Rise

T he sixth main entry in the Monster Hunter series is about to release this weekend. The Capcom’s Monster Hunter Rise will be released worldwide in March 26, 2021 exclusively for Nintendo Switch.   Monster Hunter Rise early reviews are out and are mostly positive. At the time of publishing this article the game has a Metascore of 87 based on 64 reviews on review aggregation website Metacritic. If we compare it to its predecessor Monster Hunter World it got metascore of 90 based on 93 reviews on PlayStation 4. But the overall reviews of Rise on various sites are mostly solid.   Eurogamer stated in their review – Switch’s best game since Breath of the Wild. Terraria has sold over 35 million copies across all platforms

 Terraria developer Re-Logic has announce that the game has now sold over 35 million copies across all platforms, as of the end of 2020. Terraria is an action-adventure 2D sandbox game developed by indie studio Re-Logic and published by 505 Games.   Recently revealed that Terraria have passed 35 million units that are up from 30 million in March 2020. The announcement further broke down the sales numbers, stating that 17.2 million copies were sold on PC, 9.3 million on mobile devices and 8.5 million on consoles. “Every time we think we have seen it all with regards to the sheer level of support and love you all show us, you always find ways to take it to the next level. Sea of Thieves passes 20 million players since its launch

  Rare’s action-adventure online game Sea of Thieves has passed 20 million players count since its launch in March 2018, announce by developer Rare and publisher Xbox Game Studios. Sea of Thieves received mixed reviews upon its launch. But over the  period the game gets better and attracts more players. Rare deliver  monthly free updates for the game. All the expansions are free of  cost as they didn’t want to divide the player base that they have. It’s up from 15 million players in July 2020. Sea of Thieves has also sold over one million copies on Steam since its launch on June  2020. It also became the most successful Intellectual Property (IP) Sea of Thieves released in March 2018 for Microsoft windows and Xbox One, and in November 2020 for Xbox Series X/S.

The Long Dark passed 5 million sales

The first-person action-adventure survival game, The Long Dark, has sold over five million copies worldwide. Announced by publisher and developer Hinterland Studio. That’s up from 3.3 million in September 2019. The game has also another 3.5 million active players through Xbox Game Pass and Epic Game Store as it was a free-giveaway during the Christmas. Dead Cells Sales Tops 5 Million Copies

Dead cells is a critically acclaimed Roguelike Metroid-vania style game, which is currently celebrating another milestone. According to Motion Twin and Evil Empire, the game has now sold over 5 million copies worldwide across all platforms. It’s up from 3.5 million copies in November 2020. The game’s launch in china helped to jumped in sales, where it has sold over 1 million copies.   Dead Cells first released in August 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. Mobile port was released later.
