Terraria has sold over 35 million copies across all platforms

 Terraria developer Re-Logic has announce that the game has now sold over 35 million copies across all platforms, as of the end of 2020.


Terraria is an action-adventure 2D sandbox game developed by indie studio Re-Logic and published by 505 Games.

 

Recently revealed that Terraria have passed 35 million units that are up from 30 million in March 2020. The announcement further broke down the sales numbers, stating that 17.2 million copies were sold on PC, 9.3 million on mobile devices and 8.5 million on consoles.


“Every time we think we have seen it all with regards to the sheer level of support and love you all show us, you always find ways to take it to the next level. It is appreciated, and it is what drives us all to do our very best each and every day. Again, we can only hope to return the favor and do right by your passionate support by continuing to provide amazing gaming experiences for years to come (whether it be on Terraria or future games that we create).” Said the developer.


 

Terraria first released in May 2011 for Microsoft Windows, other ports were released later.

Genshin Impact revenue hits $1 Billion in less than six months

 miHoYo's Genshin Impact surpassed $1 Billion in player spending in less than six months, marking it fastest mobile game to hits that milestone (Pokemon GO took nine months), according to sensor tower. Breath of the Wild themed-like action RPG, Genshin Impact released in September 28, 2020. It received "generally favorable reviews". The game saw 23 million downloads on mobile platforms and generates $60 mn revenue within a week after its launch. Mobile version of Genshin Impact frequently generated revenue. It grossed $245 million in its first month and $393 million in the first two months. Its revenue hits $874 in just five months. While Pokemon GO grossed $207 million in its first month. Free-to-play game, Genshin Impact revenue soared to $1 bn in less than six months. This does not even include PS4 revenue and PC revenue. Genshin Impact first released in September 2020 for Android, IOS, PS4 and Windows.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles has passed 1 million copies sold in just two weeks after its launch.   Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba franchise continuous to grow. The first Demon Slayer game has sold 1 million copies worldwide. It includes both shipment and digital.
