After the wild success of the game the Minecraft and Mojang has been bought by Microsoft. Notch has stepped down from Minecraft. Terraria- Sales: 35 million copies across all platforms Terraria is 2D sandbox indie game which has  sold over 35 million units . It first released in May 2011, since becoming a runway success for an Indie title. The game has sold 17.2 million copies on PC, 9.3 million on mobile and 8.5 million on consoles.

Persona series tops 15 million copies sold worldwide

Persona series passes 15 million copies sold worldwide, up from 13.1 million copies reported last year. A 25 years old franchise continues to grow. Atlus has recently reported the company’s financial report for the fiscal year ended in March 2021. According to the report the Persona series has hit a new milestone of 15 million games sold worldwide.   Updated sales numbers- Persona 5 + Royal- Persona 5 Royal has sold approximately 1.8 million copies since its launch in Japan on October 2019. That’s up from 1.4 million copies sold reported last year in July 2020. Persona 5 had sold over 3.2 million copies by December 2019. That’s brings the total sales of Persona and Royal to approximately 5 million. Persona 5 Strikers- Persona 5 Strikers has sold 1.3 million copies (both physical and digital) since its release in Japan on February 2020. Persona 4 Golden- Lastly, Persona 4 Golden for PC has sold approximately 1 million copies since its launch in June 2020. Previously report

Genshin Impact revenue hits $1 Billion in less than six months

 miHoYo's Genshin Impact surpassed $1 Billion in player spending in less than six months, marking it fastest mobile game to hits that milestone (Pokemon GO took nine months), according to sensor tower. Breath of the Wild themed-like action RPG, Genshin Impact released in September 28, 2020. It received "generally favorable reviews". The game saw 23 million downloads on mobile platforms and generates $60 mn revenue within a week after its launch. Mobile version of Genshin Impact frequently generated revenue. It grossed $245 million in its first month and $393 million in the first two months. Its revenue hits $874 in just five months. While Pokemon GO grossed $207 million in its first month. Free-to-play game, Genshin Impact revenue soared to $1 bn in less than six months. This does not even include PS4 revenue and PC revenue. Genshin Impact first released in September 2020 for Android, IOS, PS4 and Windows.
