Persona series passes 15 million copies sold worldwide, up from 13.1 million copies reported last year. A 25 years old franchise continues to grow.
Atlus has recently reported the company’s financial report for the fiscal year ended in March 2021. According to the report the Persona series has hit a new milestone of 15 million games sold worldwide.

Persona 5
Royal has sold approximately 1.8 million copies since its launch in Japan on
October 2019. That’s up from 1.4 million copies sold reported last year in July
2020. Persona 5 had sold over 3.2 million copies by December 2019. That’s
brings the total sales of Persona and Royal to approximately 5 million.
Persona 5 Strikers-
Persona 5
Strikers has sold 1.3 million copies (both physical and digital) since its
release in Japan on February 2020.
Persona 4 Golden-
Lastly,
Persona 4 Golden for PC has sold approximately 1 million copies since its
launch in June 2020. Previously reported were 500k copies in less than a month
on PC. P4G had sold 1.5 million copies on PlayStation Vita as of August 2020. It
accumulated total 2.5 million units sold for Persona 4 Golden.

Atlus also reported that the cumulative shipment for the Persona 5 Original Soundtrack has now exceeded 100k copies. It debuted in Japan in January 2017. It seems the fans of the series love Persona content in every form.
The Persona franchise is itself a spin-off of critically acclaimed JRPG franchise named Shin Megami Tensei. An ongoing popular franchise with traditional RPG elements in it. Shin Megami Tensei 5, a newly mainline entry in the series is about to launch this fall.
